The Government has declared a new application round for TV programme licences in a number of television multiplexes.
In earlier rounds, not all the licences had aspirants. For the first time, the terrestrial television network capacity exceeds the demand.
The supplementary application round concerns multiplexes A, G, VHF A and VHF B. The licences will be valid until the end of 2016, and the deadline for the applications is 1st of August, at 12 noon.
In the multiplex A, there is the possibility for granting one new TV programme licence. In the Uusimaa regional multiplex G, there is still room for five high-definition channels or several standard channels.
The multiplex VHF A can provide space for two high-definition channels, and the multiplex VHF B can accommodate one high-definition channel or several standard channels.
