The Government decided on 22 March to grant television programme licences for broadcasting in multiplex F to all applicants. The licences were issued to pay-TV channels.
MTV Corporation was granted a licence for the high-definition channels Canal+ First HD and Canal+ Urheilu HD.
Turner Broadcasting System Europe Limited was granted a licence for the news and current affairs channel CNN International. CNN is a standard-definition channel.
There would have been capacity for one more standard-definition channel in the multiplex F. The licences granted now are valid from 15 April 2012 to 31 December 2016.
