1. Finnish Transport and Communications Agency
The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom promotes the transport system and traffic safety and ensures that everyone in Finland has access to high-quality, secure and reasonably priced communications connections and services. Traficom supports sustainable development and boosts digitalisation by means of, for example, experiments in automation and robotics. Traficom is an authority serving people and businesses in licence, registration and approval matters related to transport and communications.

2. Transport Infrastructure Agency, Väylä
The Transport Infrastructure Agency, which operates under the Ministry's guidance, is responsible for road, railway and waterway construction and maintenance. The Transport Infrastructure Agency outsources the work to businesses through competitive tendering.

3. Finnish Meteorological Institute
The Finnish Meteorological Institute is both a service provider and a research institution. It produces information on atmospheric conditions for the purposes of public safety and for the needs of businesses and the public at large.

4.Traffic Management Company Fintraffic Ltd
Traffic Management Company Fintraffic Ltd is a wholly state-owned group with special assignment operating under the ownership steering of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
The Group provides advanced traffic control and management services and ensures the safety and reliability of all transport modes. It is also responsible for the collection, management and use of traffic control data.
Subsidiaries and their responsibilities
Fintraffic Railway Ltd is responsible for the control and management of railway transport system and services.
The responsibility for the control and management of road transport system and services lies with Finntraffic Road Ltd.
Fintraffic Vessel Traffic Services Ltd is responsible for the control and management of maritime transport system and services.
The subsidiary responsible for air navigation services is Fintraffic Air Navigation Services Ltd.

5. Yleisradio Ltd (Finnish Broadcasting Company)
The Ministry's administrative branch also includes the Finnish Broadcasting Company, Yleisradio Oy. It is steered by the Administrative Council appointed by Parliament.
6. Cinia Ltd
Cinia provides secure high-availability data network, cyber security and software solutions. Cinia’s customers include domestic and foreign service suppliers providing services that are essential to society.
7. Airport Line Ltd
The task of Airport Line Ltd is to plan the rail link between Pasila and Kerava via Helsinki Airport until it is ready for construction.
The Finnish Government owns 70 per cent of the shares in the company. In addition to the Finnish Government, the shareholders of the company are Helsinki, Vantaa and Lahti.
8. West Railway Ltd
The task of West Railway Ltd is to plan the railway infrastructure related to the Turku-Helsinki high-speed rail connection until the construction is ready to begin.
The Finnish Government owns 51 per cent of the shares in the company. In addition to the Government of Finland, the shareholders of the company are the cities of Turku, Espoo, Helsinki, Salo, Lohja, Vihti and Kirkkonummi.
9. East Railway Ltd
The task of East Railway is to plan the railway infrastructure related to the Lentorata–Porvoo–Kouvola high-speed rail connection until the construction is ready to begin.
The Finnish Government owns 51 per cent of the shares in the company. In addition to the Government of Finland, the shareholders of the company are the cities of Porvoo, Kouvola, Helsinki, Lappeenranta, Kuopio, Mikkeli, Joensuu, Imatra, Pieksämäki, Kajaani, Iisalmi, Siilinjärvi, Lieksa, Kitee, Nurmes, Lapinlahti, Suonenjoki, Mäntyharju, Askola, Parikkala, Taipalsaari, Rautjärvi, Lapinjärvi and Myrskylä.
