Esa Suominen appointed as Minister Kiuru's Special Adviser

Master of Social Sciences Mr Esa Suominen, 34, has been appointed as Special Adviser to Finland's Minister of Housing and Communications, Ms Krista Kiuru, in communications policy affairs. He will take up his duties on 1 February.

Mr Suominen currently works as Director of Administration and Special Adviser to the President of the Finnish Service Union United (PAM). He has also been employed as Director of Department and Party Secretary of the Social Democratic Party of Finland, Assistant at Eurofacts Oy, Parliamentary Assistant to MP Erkki Tuomioja and Project Coordinator at the Kalevi Sorsa Foundation.

Minister Kiuru's current Special Adviser Mr Kalervo Haverinen transfers to the position of Managing Director of the Student Village Foundation of Turku at the beginning of February.
