Press release

On 3 December 2015 the Finnish Government announced a preliminary decision on a corporate restructuring concerning the transfer of radio broadcasting of Suomen Uutisradio Oy, Nova, and its programme licence to Bauer Media.

It is the Government's view that the restructuring will not centralise the programme supply on the radio market, and the overall perspective of the supply will remain diverse also after the change in effective control.

Suomen Uutisradio Oy and Nova are part of the media company MTV Oy that is owned by the Swedish company Bonnier AB. The German Bauer Media is one of Europe's leading commercial radio broadcasting operators.
