Minister Harakka to Mobile World Congress in Barcelona

Minister of Transport and Communications Timo Harakka attends the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on 28 February-1 March. Minister Harakka will meet representatives of several Finnish companies also present at the event.

The visit also includes meetings with a number of ministers, including Nadia Calviño the First Vice President of the Government of Spain and the Minister for Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation. The two ministers will discuss the cooperation between Finland and Spain in the field of digitalisation.

Minister Harakka will discuss questions related to the data economy and digitalisation and bilateral cooperation between the countries with Lim Hyesook, Minister of Science and ICT of South Korea, Daniela Kluckert, Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Transport of Germany, and Yoaz Hendel, Minister of Communications of Israel.

During his visit in Barcelona, Minister Harakka will meet the executives of several telecom operators.

Minister Harakka will also participate in a roundtable discussion on startup businesses organised by the European Startup Nation Alliance ESNA, founded in December 2021. 26 EU Member States and Iceland have made a commitment to the mission of ESNA, which is to support the growth of all start-ups at different stages of their evolvement.
