Board of Directors appointed for Finavia Corporation

On 29 December 2009 the general meeting of Finavia Holding Ltd elected a Board of Directors for Finavia Corporation, the state-owned company starting operations on 1 January 2010. The Board's term will begin on 1 January 2010.

The Board chairman of Finavia Corporation will be Honorary Mining Counsellor Mr Seppo Paatelainen.

The other Board members will be Ms Pirkko Juntti, Master of Laws (trained on the bench), Ms Rita Linna, Ministerial Adviser at the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Ms Erja Takala, Development Manager at SOK, Mr Antti Vehviläinen, Vice President, Logistics at Stora Enso, and Mr Pauli Manninen, as employee representative.

Finavia Holding Ltd was established for the start-up phase, and from 1 January 2010 it will continue as the state-owned limited liability company Finavia Corporation.

Finavia Corporation is a company set up to manage the operations of the former Finnish Civil Aviation Administration Finavia. The company's sphere of operation will be to maintain and develop the state network of airports and Finland's air navigation system to meet the needs of civil and military aviation, and to provide air navigation services in Finland.

The state ownership policy towards the company will be applied by the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
