LVM.fi is the website of the Finnish Ministry of Transport and Communications. It contains a variety of information produced by the Ministry, including press releases, publications and descriptions of ongoing projects. The website provides information in Finnish, Swedish, and English. The most comprehensive information is provided on the Finnish pages.

On 29 March 2023, LVM.fi service was transferred to the Government’s joint publication platform. The structure of the service and the presentation of information follow the Government online communication model. The first version of the web service was launched on 5 December 1995.

1. Structure and usage

The site is made up of six main sections: press releases, areas of expertise, publications, the Ministry, the administrative sector, and contacts.

The breadcrumb trail at the top of each page shows where you are on the site. The footer on the page has a site map that describes the structure of the site using a list of the main headings and subheadings.

The search box at the top of each page helps you find the information you are looking for.

2. Web browsers and terminal devices

The website uses responsive design, meaning that the content adapts to the device being used. The pages display best using the latest version of your browser. The website can also be viewed using earlier versions, but in this case you may not be able to use all of the features available.

3. Subscription services

To receive the latest news and information about recent publications, you can subscribe to our e-mail news service. It is also possible to subscribe to several RSS feeds. The most important news services can be found under the Press releases section.
