The Government has decided that the sale of Digita Oy to Suomi Broadcast Networks Oy will not influence the validity of the licences held by Digita Oy or Digi Waves Oy.

Digita is Finland's most important television and radio network administrator and has two completely national networks. The Government has grated Digita five network licenses for digital television and radio broadcasts. Digita-owned Digi Waves has a license to broadcast AM broadcasts predominantly from Finland to other countries.

Suomi Broadcast Networks is owned by the First State European Diversified Infrastructure Fund FCP-SIF. The fund's controlling body is a part of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia's European asset management company.

Additionally, the Government granted Digita a network license for multiplex H in the UHF range valid until the end of 2016. By the end of 2013, the network must cover 60% of continental Finland's population.
