Directors appointed at the Ministry of Transport and Communications with effect from 1 January 2016

The organisation of the Ministry of Transport and Communications will change as of 1 January 2016. New Director-Generals were appointed today by the Government and new Directors of Units by Minister of Transport and Communications Anne Berner.

In October this year Mr Harri Pursiainen was appointed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry for a term starting on 1 June 2016. The organisational reform will not affect the posts of Communications Director, Director of Finance and Director of Administration.

In addition Ms Kristiina Pietikäinen, Senior Adviser, was appointed Strategy Director and Ms Kaisa Leena Välipirtti, Senior Government Adviser, was appointed Legislative Director of the Ministry. After the retirement of Ms Välipirtti on 1 April 2016 the position will be taken over by Ms Silja Ruokola, Senior Adviser.
