Juhapekka Ristola and Sabina Lindström reappointed as Directors General

On 22 October 2020, the Government appointed Juhapekka Ristola as Director General of the Ministerial Governance Department and Sabina Lindström as Director General of the Networks Department at the Ministry of Transport and Communications for the period from 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2025.

Ristola, LL.M, has served as Director General of the Ministerial Governance Department since the beginning of 2016 and as Director General of the Ministry's Communications Policy Department from 2010 to 2015. He has worked at the Ministry since 2002. In 2007-2010, he acted as Director of the Communications Networks Unit. He has also worked for Springtoys Oy as Administration and Business Director, and in the Defence Command as Legal Adviser.

Sabina Lindström, M.Soc.Sc, has served as Director General of the Networks Department since the beginning of October 2018. Before that she worked for approximately one year as a Director at the same Department. Lindström has been employed by the Ministry of Transport and Communications since 1996. Between 2011 and 2017, she held the posts of Director and Unit Director in several units.

The Director General is a member of the Ministry's management groups and is responsible for the management and effective operations of the department.
