On 4 December, Politico, an online newspaper, will arrange a high-level summit in Brussels, Belgium, under the theme of clean, low-carbon transport of the future. Minister of Transport and Communications Anne Berner will be one of the key note speakers at the summit.

The event will be opened by European Commissioner for Transport Violeta Bulc. Minister Berner will attend the ministerial meeting of the summit. The speakers will also include Minister of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure of Luxembourg François Bausch and Minister of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure of Estonia Kadri Simson.

The summit will especially focus on the effects that transport digitalisation will have on the reduction of emissions.

"Reducing emissions from transport is a significant factor in the fight against climate change. An array of measures is needed to address this joint mission. We will need efficient, seamless, sustainable transport services, but also a change in our way of thinking. We have to promote digitalisation of transport services and reap the full benefits of it", Minister Berner says.

There will be panel discussions under three themes: low-carbon transport, public transport services and mobility of the future.

Approximately 120 decision-makers, representatives of the authorities and experts in the technology and transport sectors will attend the summit.
