Press release
Ministry of Transport and Communications of Finland has renewed its English-language web pages at www.mintc.fi/english. The site has undergone a comprehensive renewal; the structure has been clarified, the content expanded and the layout modernised.

Besides press releases weekly news on the home page keep the readers updated on current affairs at the Ministry. Topical issues at the moment include the digital television and the new Journey.fi route service. The pages also contain a guide on Driving in Finland, which provides information for people arriving in Finland by car.

An extensive contact information section and a personnel index make it easier to contact the Ministry.

Electronic versions of English-language publications can also be found on the site.

The main sections of the new site are Topical, Transport, Communications, The Ministry, and Contacts. They cater to the needs of both visitors interested in current affairs and particularly citizens, journalists and businesses specialised in transport and communications affairs.

The Ministry renewed its Finnish pages in spring 2004 and the Swedish pages in spring 2005. German, French and Russian versions will be renewed this autumn.
