Permanent Secretary Kivimäki to Cyprus on an advocacy visit

Permanent Secretary of the Finnish Ministry of Transport and Communications Minna Kivimäki will visit Cyprus on 6–7 October 2025.

The focus of the visit will be on maritime transport and policy-influencing in the EU.  Permanent Secretary Kivimäki will meet her Cypriot ministry colleagues responsible for transport, digitalisation and maritime affairs.

Cyprus will hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union from January to June 2026.

Kivimäki will attend the high-level Maritime Cyprus 2025 Conference, which is held every two years and has become one of the most important maritime events in the world.

Kivimäki will also have a meeting with the management of the European Maritime Safety Agency.
