Total of nine operators applied for a television broadcasting licence

A total of nine operators have submitted applications to the Ministry of Transport and Communications for television broadcasting in an antenna network. The deadline for the applications was 2 March 2009. Two of the licences are completely new.
The following operators applied for a licence: BBC World News Limited, Discovery Communications Europe Limited, Eurosport SA, Family Channel Oy, MTV Oy, MTV Networks Europe, Parsifal International AB, Sanoma Television Oy and The Walt Disney Company Limited.
