The Government decided on 27 September that the sale of Digita Oy to Suomi Broadcast Networks Oy will not influence the validity of the licences held by Digita Oy or Digi Waves Oy.

Digita is Finland's most important television and radio network administrator and has two completely national networks. The Government has grated Digita five network licenses for digital television and radio broadcasts. Digita-owned Digi Waves has a license to broadcast AM broadcasts predominantly from Finland to other countries.
